I can totally see both songs being her theme, but I love the idea of Solar Sailer since that's the scene where her backstory is revealed (in a way) when Sam and his dad are talking.

I just realised that quorra was the only main character who didn't get a theme in Tron legacy.

Kevin Flynn got "Flynn lives"

Sam got "the son of Flynn"

Tron/rinzler got "rinzler"

Clu got "C.L.U"

But quorra didn't get one sadly so in my opinion quorra's theme is actually "derezzed".

For two reasons really, in "derezzed" original music video two programs are jousting on these robot horses /light steeds (I love them and want them back) and one of these programs was Quorra (well in assuming it's an early version of quorra since it was Olivia wilds who was playing her). And there was a lot of focus on her in that.

The second reason is that when it plays in the film quorra arrives on the beat drop and the song ends when quorra falls.

So that's kinda why I associate quorra with the song "derezzed".

I wanted to try some processes I watched on some artists' reels over at the Insta, and practice designing and coloring manmade/artifiical environments for future projects in particular.

Deep winter also always makes me moody and nostalgic, and I start looking back. I know this is just a consequence of time and technology, but I don't have any of my old Tron art files saved on my laptop. It's so strange considering how much of an impact Tron Legacy and the fandom has had on my life on and off-line. I listened to the ficmix I made for that old fic of mine the other day, and man, I felt so unwell and unhinged. That movie, that OST, that fandom, that fic, that ship, still has such a stranglehold on me years after the fact.

Anyway, if you haven't done so already, go give this beautifully made extended Daft Punk music video a watch.

Favourite character from Tron:

This most definitely has to be Rinzler/Tron- I mean he looks so badass when introduced in Legacy! Hard not to love him 🥰 I’ve also been slowly watching Tron: Uprising and I love the characterisation of Tron there :) He’s just such a cool character! And he fights for the users!!

Favourite Legacy scene:

I have way too many favourite scenes from Legacy- some are:

Sam Flynn suiting up for the arena

The ENTIRE arena battle montage! I love all of the fights.

When quorra decides to help Sam and gives him the lead to Castor’s club (also I love the whole end of line club ost)

Final battle scene and rinzler turning against Clu!!

This is such a perfect question because I just listened to half of the entire Legacy soundtrack today! 🤣

The first favourite song that comes to my mind first is “The Grid”- the one where Kevin Flynn goes on that monologue.. “The grid.. a digital frontier..” Gosh I love it. Is it crazy that I have the entire monologue memorised lol?!

a list of artists (and groups of artists) who could do tron 3's ost, not because they sound like daft punk, but because tron 3 is probably going to completely ignore everything that made tron tron and they might as well do it with a banger soundtrack:

susumu hirasawa (especially in the style of p-model) (LISTEN TO THE SECOND SONG ON THAT ALBUM IMMEDIATELY)

mick gordon (because tbh i want tron 3 to be a tron 2.0 remaster/sequel FPS with him on the soundtrack. WHAT CAN I SAY? LOOK AT MY URL.)

most of the random edm artists making homestuck music in 2013. this includes toby fox but im gonna drop some of my favorite lesser-known tracks: crystalmethequins (dubstep with lots of industrial samples), heat (ambient industrial with a cello lead???), and fuchsia ruler (its just edm idk subgenres well enough to tell you)
